The Sokkia DT940L Digital Theodolite has a built-in coaxial laser pointer that maximizes efficiency when taking precise angle measurements. With 9-second accuracy, absolute encoder, tilt sensors, 26x magnification and 3-inch telescope resolving power, this optical instrument provides exceptional viewing quality of points and long working hours, making it ideal for layout and general construction applications.
With a working indoor range of up to 660 feet, the DT 940L’s laser pointer guides surveyors during alignment, layout, leveling, grading and squaring. This visible laser also enhances outdoor aiming, while the ultra-narrow beam precisely measures through walls, corners, fence openings and tree branches.
By using advanced algorithm and digital sampling technology, the integrated absolute encoder automatically restores the azimuth when the instrument is shut down or restarted to save time.
Various Display Modes
Select the angle display unit that best suits you. Horizontal angle is switchable between clockwise and counterclockwise, angle hold and zero-set functions are also provided.
Once the zero horizontal angle direction is determined, the DT940L survey instrument produces audible tones for each of the four right-angle directions. It sounds two different tones within ±15 degrees of 90 degrees and stops beeping when it comes within ±1 degree.
