The Ashtech ProMark 220 Dual Frequency GPS Receiver with Ashtech FAST survey software is an effective network RTK rover for quickly and accurately mapping locations within 1 cm real time accuracy. The ProMark 220 has the same hardware receiver as the Ashtech ProMark 120 and Mobile Mapper 120 but with expanded software packages, Windows programs and loaded GNSS applications, such as RTK, NTRIP/DIP and GLONASS. The included dual frequency ASH661 antenna enhances the GPS device's ability to perform accurate long range surveying.
Advanced Z-Blade Technology
The Ashtech Z-Blade technology on board the ProMark 220 utilizes both GPS and GLONASS (Russian) satellites to obtain a more reliable GNSS position in indirect survey locations. Combined with the L1/L2 antenna, this Spectra-exclusive technology increases accuracy and allows the device to get a real time kinematic (RTK) fix even when GPS satellites aren’t available.
Accurate Long Range Survey Receiver
The ProMark 220 network rover can get a fix in as fast as 15 seconds. Its accuracy is comparable to higher-end GNSS receivers, such as the ProMark 800. With the included ASH661 dual frequency antenna, the ProMark 220 has a typical range of 40 km with a reading reliability of 99.9%. The increased positioning accuracy of the network RTK rover allows for faster and more reliable site mapping.
Ashtech FAST Survey Field Software
The embedded Ashtech FAST Survey Field software is designed to optimize the functionality, performance and control of the ProMark 220 for topographic and construction applications. The survey GPS software provides surveyors with an expanded set of capabilities including software support for an unlimited number of localization points and the ability to compute volumes between two surfaces. The Promark GPS software can seperately track multiple instruments, including other GNSS receivers and total stations, allowing surveyors to quickly switch between instruments.
User Friendly Platform
Along with built-in wireless LAN, GPRS and Bluetooth connectivity, the ProMark 220 receiver has a 256MB memory expandable to 2GB and supports 10 different languages. The GPS device comes with the Microsoft Windows Embedded Handheld 6.5 operating system and includes familiar programs, such as Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office Mobile, GNSS Toolbox, Transcriber (a handwriting recognition tool) and ActiveSync.
The Ashtech ProMark 220 has a rugged yet lightweight handheld design. It is dustproof and water resistant with a protection rating of IP65. This survey grade GPS receiver also has a 3 megapixel camera, E-Compass and a built-in microphone and speaker.
As an upgrade from the ProMark 200, the Ashtech ProMark 220 allows for accurate long range GNSS applications using an updated operating system, advanced Ashtech software, Spectra’s exclusive Z-Blade GNSS-Centric Engine, extended range and the ability to track locations using GLONASS satellites.
